| The Kigali Center for Entrepreneurs (KCE) is a non-profit organization located in Sonoma, CA, Denver, CO and Kigali, Rwanda. Its mission is to lay a solid foundation for entrepreneurial success in Rwanda. Its target groups are: entrepreneurs, particularly women entrepreneurs and genocide survivors, who have energy and ideas but lack adequate funding in order to start business and help themselves. A portion of money (10%) collected by KCE is donated to Orphans of Genocide and HIV/AIDS. KCE promoters, aware that many people and communities like Rwanda, dependent on aid are frozen in inactivity, wiating for expected aid, have decided to use a different alternative: aid to the vulneralbe (Orphans of Genocide and HIV/AIDS); help the entrepreneurial start micro and small-sized businesses (from $1,000 to $500,000), by helping create professional business plans and helping find sources of funding either through KCE's micro investment fund (up to $1000) or through venture funds and banks. |
